Wow!!! I had a crazy mother of a weekend. Here me thinking, nothing much but just cycling on Sunday. I went online to play a few games and Victor asked me to go out drinking. After refusing a couple of times, I thought it would probably be best to go just to chill out as Victor said it was going to be at a PUB. If clubbing or bar, I would have declined immediately as it usually finishes too late (I had to wake up at 6am to go cycling). After agreeing, Vic said he’ll give me a call on when to go…
Waiting waiting, 10pm no call so assumed no more drinking as most pubs here close at midnight. Recieved a phone call from Linda at 10:30pm telling me that I should have been at her place. WTF?! Vic you biatch! Drove there at about 11pm after picking up Ed and finding out that Linda’s friends were planning to go pubbing. WTF?! Vic you biatch! Well, I need a drink so decided to go… Vic, you BIATCH!!
It was good fun though, meeting up with some of Linda’s friends and watching a really really drunk Jason (one of Linda’s friends) with his antics. I got a video of him somewhere on my phone. Expecting to finish at about 2am, this somehow turned to 4:30am and by the time I went home it was already 5am or so. So wake up at 6am hey? Looks like no sleep :(. I arranged Wils, Wah and Hong to give me a wake up call but this was no longer required as I was awake the whole freaking time!!!
I wasn’t kidding about staying awake
We got to Mundaring and did the Munda Biddie bike trail and started some mountain bike riding. It was on pea gravel and there was shit loads of rocks to easily flip (I nearly did a few times). My first peddle around I realised I had drunk too much the night before and was hell dehydrated. After 3 or 4km of hard riding, my water bottle was nearly empty. OMG! Kill me!!
The pain begins
Some sights were beautiful
The ride has got to be the most painful (yet beautiful ) rides I had ever done. Purely because of the terrain and its steep inclines, once you stop riding there was no point continuing as you’ve lost the momentum. Most of the time was lost due to those damn inclines, we ended up walking up those damn things! We were supposed to reach our destination but we had to turn back half way as Friz had a plane to catch :(. Oh well! NOT! What was worse was the ride back I reckon, after wasting so much energy on the inclines the ride back had slight inclines. The thighs were not liking them so much due to too much acid and cramps on them. I swear I was going to make Wils dinky ride me back.
If I had a better camera, this would resemble the default winxp wallpaper
Packing was the pain
After getting home at about 3pm, I realised I had been awake for 34 hours. Had lunch and played a game of dota and it was 36 hours without sleep. Slept all the way from 5pm to 7am, woot 14 hours of sleep!!! Now that was the most enjoyable feeling of the weekend!
