Beard Papa Cream Puffs

A couple of months ago my workmate had recently joined a franchise called Beard Papa and they specialize specifically in cream puffs that rivals with Krispy Kreme. It is a Japanese chain that is throughout the world but for some reason it is quite small in Australia. In fact I’ve never heard of them until my workmate told me about it. He’s opened a store in Galleria Morley near Coles and he’s thinking of opening a store somewhere in the city.

Everything this guy talks about now is pretty much cream puffs and how business is in a shopping centre. The pain he goes through in the reliance of a shopping mall crowd and the 9am-5pm business hours. You figure that having a shop in a shopping mall would generate heaps of business but that’s only when everybody goes there on the Saturdays or Thursday nights. Sounds scary but yet he is still up beat about it…

Anyway back to the puffs, it’s awesome! The problem I have with Krispy Kreme is that those damn things are SWEET! I usually refer to them as cocaine in a doughnut. The Beard Papa puffs are pretty much the same thing but it’s not as sweet but yet still cocaine in a cream puff. They definitely have more focus on the texture and taste pastry which I believe should be the primary focus!

Enough plug of this product, I forgot to mention that I got roped in and featured in the Beard Papa promotional video. I got seduced with the words of free cream puffs. No complaints from me:)… Only thing I don’t like about this video is the annoying background music which I had highlighted to him already. You can watch the video here.
