Roughly last year was when I made the decision to jump back from team leader to code monkey but lately due to people moving to other projects i’m back at it again. Hmm… not sure whether it’s a good thing or not but what the heck, back to high pressure, lack of resources and funding, and politics 
As my first task back to the role they got me starting this project with a budget of $33K! I was shocked and surprised cos isn’t that what a project manager should care about?! I’m more used to assigning work and making sure people finish their work. With the budget, this is a freaking tiny project and at this stage it’ll probably leave me doing the whole fucking thing myself. So there you go, Jonny boy the all in one swiss army knife - the one stop project manager, team leader, business analyst, lead developer, tester and implementation manager. WTF?! How the crud did I get myself into this?!
Based on the budget this financial year, it looks like this project will lead to another that has a budget of $170k… now that sounds more like it!! Talk about pressure… The anxiety and pressure to get it done right, on budget and on time… OMFG!!!
