One of the many things I miss about Brunei is my little cousin, he’s 2 years old and he’s damn cute and playful! At times he’d just break into a little dance and laugh out of no where. Some how he just amuses himself but that in turn that amuses me. On quite a few occasions I’ve been bored while in Brunei but my little cousin always manages to put a cheer to my face as he plays along. Occasions like me walking around the house aimlessly when I hear the fridge door open but when I take a look, no one is there but when I look down I see this little guy crouched down and staring into the fridge. He’s staring in awe at a chocolate cake! I walk towards him, crouch down, hug him from behind and place my chin on his shoulder to make it seem like I’m staring in awe too but in reality I’m actually protecting the cake
Cute as he is, one of the things that annoys me about him is that he sure likes to create a mess and break things. We’d have some cans of pepsi stacked in a tray on the floor and he would stack the cans up high like towers and make them fall. When we tell him to put it back in the tray he just throws it back in the tray. Every throw, I was afraid of the can bursting but a little part of me wanted it to happen
. A nickname one of my Aunties gives him is Destroyer No. 2. I asked her why No. 2 and she’d look at me and say that I am Destroyer No. 1.
. She’d reminded me of how playful, messy and my tendencies to break things. She would say that when I was his age I was much worse. Looks like it’s time to teach my padawan how it’s really done
.
I do miss him but I know that he’s in a household that loves him and he’s happy
